Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of services provided by Doorstep Detailing ("we," "us," or "our"), based in Culver, Indiana. By booking, scheduling, or accepting service from us, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By visiting our website, requesting a quote, scheduling an appointment, or receiving services from Doorstep Detailing, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2. Services

Doorstep Detailing provides mobile car and boat detailing services within our designated service area in and around Culver, Indiana. Service offerings, pricing, and availability are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to refuse, cancel, or reschedule any service at our discretion, including but not limited to circumstances involving unsafe conditions, inaccessible vehicles, severe weather, equipment failure, or behavior we deem inappropriate.

In the event that we do not perform the service for any of the reasons described above, a full refund of the service charge will be provided, with the exception of the delivery (travel) fee, which is non-refundable once the technician has been dispatched.

3. Booking, Deposits & Payment

All bookings are confirmed only upon successful payment authorization through our payment processor (Stripe). Prices shown at checkout include the service total and any applicable travel/delivery fees. By submitting payment information, you authorize us to charge the agreed-upon amount for services rendered.

4. Cancellations, Rescheduling & Refunds

We ask that all cancellations and rescheduling requests be made at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the appointment may be subject to a cancellation fee equal to the delivery/travel portion of the booking.

If you are dissatisfied with the service performed, please contact us within 7 days of the service date so we can make it right. Refund requests are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

5. Customer Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Providing safe, legal, and accessible space for the service to be performed.
  • Removing personal valuables, electronics, and fragile items from the vehicle or boat prior to service.
  • Disclosing any pre-existing damage, sensitive surfaces, aftermarket modifications, or known issues that could affect the service.
  • Providing access to a working water source and electrical outlet when the service requires it (unless otherwise arranged).

6. SMS, Email & Communications

By providing contact information through our forms or booking system, you consent to receive electronic communications from Doorstep Detailing, which may include SMS text messages, email, and phone calls related to your service.

We send two categories of SMS messages, each with its own consent:

  • Transactional SMS — appointment confirmations, reminders, follow-ups, and service updates. Transactional consent is optional. You can book a service or submit a contact request without agreeing to SMS — we'll communicate with you by email instead.
  • Marketing SMS — optional promotional offers and seasonal updates. Marketing consent is always separate, optional, and never pre-checked.

Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies based on your bookings and the message types you have opted in to. You may opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP. Reply HELP for assistance. You can also unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any marketing email. We do not sell or share your phone number or email address with third parties for their own marketing purposes. See our Privacy Policy for more detail.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including the Doorstep Detailing name, logo, photography, written copy, and design — is the property of Doorstep Detailing or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content without our prior written permission.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Indiana, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or our services shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Marshall County, Indiana.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Effective Date" at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Your continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

10. Carrier Liability Disclaimer

Mobile carriers (including but not limited to AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint, Boost Mobile, MetroPCS, U.S. Cellular, Cricket Wireless, and their affiliates and resellers) are not responsible or liable for delayed, undelivered, or misdirected SMS messages sent or received in connection with our service. Message and data rates may apply.

11. Age Restriction

Our services and SMS communications are intended for individuals who are 18 years of age or older. By using our website, booking a service, or consenting to receive SMS messages, you represent that you are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly market to or collect personal information from anyone under 18.
